Adding the expansion cards made our two-player games way less predictable, which is exactly what I wanted after a dozen plays. The extra options don't bloat the little wallet, it still fits in my jacket pocket.

The new reinforcement cards slot right into the base game without any fiddly rules overhead, and the added variety has already made our last three sessions feel fresh. It’s a small box, but it packs more strategic choices into each hand than I expected for the price.

I was a little worried an expansion this small might feel tacked-on, but the new cards slot into the existing deck so cleanly that it just makes the base game feel fuller. The added abilities have already changed how I play every single round.
